DINAMO PLOIESTI's Marcos-Evangelista Didarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 21st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos-Evangelista Didarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when DINAMO PLOIESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Makarewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos-Evangelista Didarov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 26th match minute, DINAMO PLOIESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ianis Hagi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO PLOIESTI's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentin Petre hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kunter Irmak in the 45th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through DINAMO PLOIESTI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos-Evangelista Didarov. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Bălanescu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. DINAMO PLOIESTI made a substitution. Claudiu Dragan replaced Zlatan Ibrahimov. A collision led to DINAMO PLOIESTI getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. George Bălanescu hit a great ball. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 59th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos-Evangelista Didarov could save by the left post. The DINAMO PLOIESTI fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when DINAMO PLOIESTI's George Bălanescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play forced DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Marcos-Evangelista Didarov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kunter Irmak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. DINAMO PLOIESTI's Marcos-Evangelista Didarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute of play. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos-Evangelista Didarov having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Dragan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Dragan in the 94th minute of play. DINAMO PLOIESTI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by George Bălanescu in the 97th minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
