Julio Vera came out of the goal and Salomón Avendaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Ángel Riesco in the 44th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Miguel Ángel Riesco sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

TurboUC's Cui Ling Xi was substituted for Aleksey Mazaev. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off.
