Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anis Achour having to interfere. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anis Achour read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, Symba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Javier Frost to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás San Juan in the 66th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 75 minutes, Sílvio Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Symba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Veiga in the 81st minute of the match. Sílvio Veiga took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tacettin Umay in the 86th minute of the match. Orlando Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Symba's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anis Achour came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Symba were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
