Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Šiljak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Calistrat Bordeianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Carp Team's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 49 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matei Cârstea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Matei Cârstea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carp Team throughout the match.
