Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Felix Montes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Demesio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Isaias Leobardo sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaias Leobardos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. CSD Pte Derqui's Vladimiro Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Leão having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Leobardo in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaias Leobardo. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Isaias Leobardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, CSD Pte Derqui's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Vladimiro Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Leão having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Leão. CSD Pte Derqui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Leão having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mao Yuan Hong in the 56th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Ignacio Nayely heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Demesio in the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vladimiro Leão in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mao Yuan Hong came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mao Yuan Hong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Demesio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roque Martxel hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. When Angelo Demesio came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the CSD Pte Derqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Demesio couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Nayely in the 97th minute of play.
