The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of play forced LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Rosario Escarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Rosario Escarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When LVCVS AVGVSTI's Baldomero Chano in 23 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Dante Lacasa guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The LVCVS AVGVSTI fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when LVCVS AVGVSTI's Baldomero Chano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rosario Escarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rosario Escarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 29th minute of the match. Rosario Escarza came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Chano in the 46th minute. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Du Yuan Chao made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Alberto Tafalla dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Baldomero Chano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Ronny Skytt got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Du Yuan Chao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rosario Escarza was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Alberto Tafalla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Tafalla really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Rosario Escarza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save LVCVS AVGVSTI from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rosario Escarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78thth minute of the game Du Yuan Chao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the game, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Du Yuan Chao nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. LVCVS AVGVSTI made a substitution. Wu Xiong Xuan replaced Ferdinand Agachi. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Zef Zoff was substituted for Ronny Skytt. In the 88th minute Baldomero Chano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosario Escarza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Facundo Cadaval went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
