Valencia C.F.'s Santiago Cañizares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Valencia C.F. from getting a goal against them. Santiago Cañizares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gusztáv Bács's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 28th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Gong Ying Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by VC zoetwater's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Sharkin was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 84 minutes, Patrik Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VC zoetwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Olsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when İbrahim Efe Akarsu came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Sharkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Santiago Cañizares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gong Ying Zheng came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon. But to his dismay, Florentin Gougeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
