Raul Valery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Pacho Carabajal made a precise shot to the right of Taco Roorda. Osdorp FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Arthur Løset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brugge United's Aldo Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Wiegmann in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Pacho Carabajal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Osdorp FC's Taco Roorda. Taco Roorda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27thth minute of the game Pacho Carabajal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Osdorp FC's Taco Roorda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Jorge Isemborgh got a free kick in the 28th minute. Raul Valery came free in the 30th minute and tried to tip the ball over Aldo Candal, but to the joy of Brugge United's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. After 31 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Isemborgh. Arthur Løset could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Aldo Candal made a huge save. In the 34th match minute, Osdorp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario van Zwieten to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Pacho Carabajal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taco Roorda was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37thth minute of the game Pacho Carabajal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Osdorp FC's Taco Roorda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Wiegmann in the 40th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Aldo Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brugge United's Aldo Candal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pacho Carabajal to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Osdorp FC's Raul Valery got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Pacho Carabajal made a precise shot to the right of Taco Roorda. Osdorp FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Raoul Lambert hit a great ball. Gert Brandsma struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Aldo Candal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osdorp FC. 66 minutes into the match, Osdorp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pacho Carabajal came free, but Taco Roorda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Løset, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Osdorp FC's Mario van Zwieten got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Osdorp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pacho Carabajal came free, but Taco Roorda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Pacho Carabajal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brugge United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pacho Carabajal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pacho Carabajal to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Candal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Wiegmann in the 82nd minute of the match. Pacho Carabajal took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taco Roorda. Taco Roorda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Pacho Carabajal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Taco Roorda having to make a save. With a little luck, Osdorp FC's Taco Roorda got control of the ball when Pacho Carabajal tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The Osdorp FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brugge United's performance. The match ended with a win for Brugge United.
