Claudiu Bădulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Rydzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Ţugui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Emanuel Ioanițiu made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Rydzyk. Red Devils's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Edgar Rydzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iancu Rebec in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Avram Pascaru. Gelu Jumancă hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Ţugui in the 31st minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Edgar Rydzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu got control of the ball when Jedrzej Koprowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sabin Cândroveanu's late challenge caught a Red Devils's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sabin Cândroveanu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Iancu Rebec hit a great ball. Edgar Rydzyk came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Flávio Ţugui. But to his dismay, Flávio Ţugui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Edgar Rydzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iancu Rebec in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Red Devils's Julian Oliszewski got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

-BZF- Valea Buzăului made a substitution. Leontin Stegaru replaced Claudiu Bădulescu. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jedrzej Koprowski was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Olejasz in the 54th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Ţugui in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Rydzyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jedrzej Koprowski in the 64th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Emanuel Ioanițiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Edgar Rydzyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Red Devils defense, Flávio Ţugui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Rydzyk. The Red Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Rydzyk should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Red Devils's goalkeeper Edgar Rydzyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iancu Rebec. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Olejasz in the 78th minute of play. Emanuel Ioanițiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Edgar Rydzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iancu Rebec got free with Edgar Rydzyk in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Ţugui in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Rydzyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iancu Rebec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Rydzyk having to make a save. Jan Soroka hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.

When the match was over -BZF- Valea Buzăului could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Red Devils throughout the match.
