Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) A sloppy throw-in by Alex Chicote in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Erik Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 9th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Themos Leontiadis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The throw-in from Alex Chicote in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. If Themos Leontiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Themos Leontiadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. A collision led to Panionios MK getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Allan Corrigan hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Themos Leontiadis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kyriakos Akrivoulis's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyriakos Akrivoulis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Kyriakos Akrivoulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 44th minute. Panionios MK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Argyris Ksagorarakis in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Themos Leontiadis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvador Gisbert made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 59th minute of the match. Alex Chicote made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Panionios MK's Kyriakos Akrivoulis. 63 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. Panionios MK's Argyris Ksagorarakis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Vale made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Erik Vale made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Erik Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Themos Leontiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Themos Leontiadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Vale made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Vale. That made the score 3-1 after 82 minutes of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Vale having to interfere. Alex Chicote made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alex Chicote. Panionios MK's Erik Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 92nd minute of play. Erik Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Alex Chicote made in the 96th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Patricio Costa however managed to control. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Panionios MK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
