Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Almir Meira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Dindelegan came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of play forced Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s goalkeeper William Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s William Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute of play. Abram Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Gaúcho having to interfere. Gigel Gârdan hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. William Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s William Gaúcho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Gaúcho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Gaúcho having to make a save. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Pascual Carballar hit a great ball. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Meira in the 40th minute of play. William Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 45th minute of the match. Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with William Gaúcho in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 54th minute of play forced Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s goalkeeper William Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Almir Meira put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Tomas Paelemans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, William Gaúcho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 86th minute Richárd Lovász shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Richárd Lovász ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-2. In the 91st minute Poli Puyol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Casa Real de Savóia F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
