In the 14th minute of the match, Corneliu Dridu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chico Donato saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Chico Donato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Corneliu Dridu went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Chico Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omid Kaulbach in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when DIPLOMATA FC PAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Armandinho Vieira got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Mauro Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chico Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omid Kaulbach in the 33rd minute. A sloppy throw-in by José Augusto Lara in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dr Lecter SC's Tihomir Donevski. 35 minutes into the game, Corneliu Dridu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Chico Donato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 46th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olivier Gilg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chico Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corneliu Dridu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Corneliu Dridu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan got control of the ball when Roberto Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corneliu Dridu spun around in front of the goal 72 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goal. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Niculae Martinescu was substituted for Song Xiong Hong. After a defensive mix-up in DIPLOMATA FC PAB's zone, Omid Kaulbach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Donato came out of the goal and Omid Kaulbach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 83rd minute of play. Celso Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olivier Gilg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Frédson Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez was substituted for Omid Kaulbach. Chico Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Guedes in the 96th minute of play.
