After having played for 70 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SLB TELHA's Álvaro Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save SLB TELHA from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Álvaro Garcia in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Álvaro Garcia. Álvaro Garcia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. In the 92nd match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Chesus to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Álvaro Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SLB TELHA throughout the match.
