Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Xan Revillas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Marcelo Bojorquez kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sagrario Paniagua. Sagrario Paniagua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Patricio Tamajon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 17 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Orland Urria. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When CD Municipal's Xan Revillas in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CD Municipal's Sagrario Paniagua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sagrario Paniagua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sagrario Paniagua was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 36th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sagrario Paniagua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The CD Municipal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 62nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Municipal's goalkeeper Sagrario Paniagua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sagrario Paniagua didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute, Gaztea Rubin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xan Revillas in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 85 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sagrario Paniagua was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in CD Municipal's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sagrario Paniagua came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sagrario Paniagua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute. In the 96th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
