But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Bladi couldn't finish the play. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Olsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 52 played minutes Annedal FC got a freekick which was hit by Harald Bergman. Christer Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Tafalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christer Olsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Annedal FC's Christer Olsson got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Annedal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuz Bal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Annedal FC made a substitution. Elliott Felin replaced Harald Bergman. Annedal FC's Billy Harman was substituted for Alfred Ödmann. Luis Bladi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bladi in the 70th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christer Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Annedal FC's Christer Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Annedal FC's Luis Bladi got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Christer Olsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 82 minutes, Joel Gaona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the Annedal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Joel Gaona. After 88 minutes Annedal FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Zorita heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Atak Mukerrem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
