Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 61st minute Juan Sebastián Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Valery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Pacorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Epifanio Valery to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 75th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. U21 Totoras F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The U21 Totoras F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
