Richard Rodríguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Heli Aizpurua made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind JM Don Vidales 62's goalkeeper Llanos Justo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heli Aizpurua in the 25th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Llanos Justo. In the 36th minute, Tauro Vidales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanyo Miloykov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Richard Rodríguez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauro Vidales in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Rodríguez in the 54th minute of play. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Llanos Justo made a huge save. JM Don Vidales 62's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Heli Aizpurua in the 65th minute. The corner ended in Heli Aizpurua almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. After 66 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Heli Aizpurua who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. Heli Aizpurua took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tauro Vidales in the 70th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by JM Don Vidales 62's Heli Aizpurua. But to his dismay, Heli Aizpurua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 91st minute, Heli Aizpurua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2.
