After 10 minutes of play, Vejbystrand's Sonny Karlberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernt Nordlund scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Joachim Anselius tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Vejbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Bernt Nordlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Vejbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Rune Groth made in the 43rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kennet Sävström. 44 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vejbystrand the free kick. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Sonny Karlberg sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Vejbystrand's Alex Burton was substituted for Sonny Karlberg. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Burton to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Burton in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Alex Burton sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Bengt-Rune Groth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Burton in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute, Kennet Sävström made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Joachim Anselius might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joachim Anselius ran back to his position shaking his head. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Vejbystrand's Birger Hammarbäck was substituted for Joachim Anselius. In the 86th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Vejbystrand's Alex Burton. But to his dismay, Alex Burton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 92nd minute Birger Hammarbäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Burton in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vejbystrand had played much better football throughout.
