Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Alonso Berganza made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Moises Gayoso. Qi Le Xiao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilles Eekhout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Mats Hummels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Andres Orlondon in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jardel Head in the 31st minute. Gilles Eekhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Andres Orlondon got a free kick in the 46th minute.
