Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alican Sungurbay got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Alican Sungurbay came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Raik Özdener suffered a concussion in the 6th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Tayyip Mesut was substituted for Raik Özdener. In the 7th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alican Sungurbay in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tayyip Mesut did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Benito Sanz 10 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Alican Sungurbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Okan Akdoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Abdulvahit Tunç scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 2-0. After 28 minutes, Tayyip Mesut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESKİŞEHİRSPOR and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tayyip Mesut hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Abdulvahit Tunç got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 34th minute of play forced ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalkeeper Okan Akdoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Okan Akdoğan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alican Sungurbay in the 55th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Alican Sungurbay came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Erkan Başok in action when he in the 62nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 68 minutes into the game, Sami Işık was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Sami Işık hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tayyip Mesut in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Alican Sungurbay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Alican Sungurbay put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 77 minutes into the match, Alican Sungurbay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alican Sungurbay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alican Sungurbay in the 80th minute of the match. Axel Tasis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Okan Akdoğan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Axel Tasis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Okan Akdoğan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 87th minute of play forced ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalkeeper Okan Akdoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alican Sungurbay scored 6-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okan Akdoğan having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR fully deserved thier win.
