Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Atletico Aragua FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedé Paiva took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dedé Paiva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Urizar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ferreira Lopes MZC from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Tomé Montenegro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Ferreira Lopes MZC's zone, Renato Nunez-Tesheira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Montenegro came out of the goal and Renato Nunez-Tesheira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Renato Nunez-Tesheira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro got control of the ball when Xaver Teresa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Federigo Salais made a great header on Atletico Aragua FC's corner, it was just that Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro managed to reach the ball for a save. 24 minutes in the game Buinton Barreda did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gauargi Trapiella. After having played for 25 minutes, Ronaldo Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferreira Lopes MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Alcântara notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atletico Aragua FC's Flavio Urizar. Flavio Urizar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dário Martins in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Urizar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner. Dedé Paiva went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ferreira Lopes MZC's corner Dedé Paiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavio Urizar quite easily take care of the ball. Tomé Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Xaver Teresa sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Urizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 36th minute of play forced Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Flavio Urizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luka Beaugendre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Flavio Urizar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Alcântara went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Ferreira Lopes MZC made a substitution. Herald Depauw replaced Luka Beaugendre. The wind increased when Dário Martins made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Alcântara took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Urizar. Flavio Urizar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Tomé Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gauargi Trapiella, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ronaldo Alcântara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavio Urizar came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Alcântara slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 60th minute. Pedro Maldonado charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Maldonado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Flavio Urizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 64th minute of play. Ronaldo Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Urizar having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Alcântara got free with Flavio Urizar in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ronaldo Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ferreira Lopes MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Flavio Urizar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atletico Aragua FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dedé Paiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Ferreira Lopes MZC's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Sidnei Bertassi advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-5 in the 83rd minute. 88 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Flavio Urizar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flavio Urizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 91st minute of play. Dário Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Flavio Urizar made a huge save. 97 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Gauargi Trapiella came free, but Tomé Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferreira Lopes MZC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
