After 4 played minutes Lunáticos FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Britto. In the 5th minute Dário Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani do Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomé Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Lunáticos FC's Valdir Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Martins in the 13th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Ferreira Lopes MZC's corner Dedé Paiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valdir Bastos quite easily take care of the ball. Valdir Bastos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dário Martins showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário Martins got free with Valdir Bastos in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidnei Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Bastos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Alcântara in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jarbas Mangueira's late challenge caught a Ferreira Lopes MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarbas Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. Jarbas Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Dário Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Valdir Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lunáticos FC's zone, Sidnei Bertassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Bastos came out of the goal and Sidnei Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Ronaldo Alcântara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdir Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Alcântara in the 43rd minute of the match. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.

Ferreira Lopes MZC's Herald Depauw was substituted for Luka Beaugendre. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovani do Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdir Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Lunáticos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 66 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio das Neves. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Alcântara in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdir Bastos saved Lunáticos FC from getting behind. After 75 minutes, Ronaldo Alcântara made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lunáticos FC's Valdir Bastos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 78 minutes, Ronaldo Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferreira Lopes MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Bastos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Valdir Bastos came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 90 minutes into the match, Lunáticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Martins came free, but Valdir Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Lunáticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Alcântara came free, but Valdir Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldo Alcântara took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Bastos. Valdir Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lunáticos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
