Ferreira Lopes MZC's Luka Beaugendre quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Heath Akins, made in the 14th minute of the game. After 18 minutes of play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Dário Martins made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Byron Wills was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dedé Paiva hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bara Miss got free with Tomé Montenegro in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 minutes, Heath Akins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marshrose and the Ferreira Lopes MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when Marshrose was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heath Akins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Alcântara notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Marshrose's Byron Wills. Byron Wills was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29thth minute of the game Ronaldo Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marshrose's Byron Wills was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronaldo Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Marshrose's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Alcântara came free, but Byron Wills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Byron Wills made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 39 played minutes Marshrose got a freekick which was hit by Heath Akins. In the 40th minute, Dário Martins made a precise shot to the right of Byron Wills. Marshrose's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Franklin Souza hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Alcântara in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byron Wills prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dário Martins was the one to do the kick off. Byron Wills was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Ronaldo Alcântara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronaldo Alcântara really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. When Ronaldo Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ferreira Lopes MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Alcântara couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ferreira Lopes MZC's Dário Martins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Byron Wills. That made the score 0-6 after 59 minutes of play. In the 62nd minute, Ronaldo Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Byron Wills was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Tomé Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seyhun Usbey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ronaldo Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ferreira Lopes MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Alcântara couldn't finish the play. After 91 minutes, Ronaldo Alcântara made it 0-10 with a short kick to the right side. Marshrose's Byron Wills tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Marshrose's Byron Wills got control of the ball when Ronaldo Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 96th minute of play forced Marshrose's goalkeeper Byron Wills to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ferreira Lopes MZC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
