When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Victor de Sena sped through Marshrose's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Byron Wills. In the 12th minute, Julio Kearney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18thth minute of the game Seyhun Usbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube do Remo MZ's Cléber Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Victor de Sena hit a great ball. Julio Kearney kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emir Iğdırlı the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Marshrose protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emir Iğdırlı had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Marshrose:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clube do Remo MZ:s goal. When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, Clube do Remo MZ's Anderson Donatello got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Byron Wills. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bara Miss made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Victor de Sena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Byron Wills. Marshrose's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor de Sena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Wanderson Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Clube do Remo MZ's zone, Rupert McClure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber Pinho came out of the goal and Rupert McClure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Kearney charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Kearney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Marshrose got a freekick which was hit by Julio Kearney. Clube do Remo MZ made a substitution. Vinícius Mineiro replaced Carlos Fernando Velloso. Byron Wills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Sena in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor de Sena in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byron Wills prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rupert McClure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Byron Wills. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mário Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute of the game, Seyhun Usbey landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 90 minutes into the game, João Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube do Remo MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marshrose the free kick. Marshrose's Wilber Padgett was substituted for Seyhun Usbey. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. João Sena hit a great ball. In the 98th match minute, Marshrose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heath Akins to maneuver through the defense. Victor de Sena took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Byron Wills. Byron Wills dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
