Dedé Paiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Dedé Paiva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tallboda Gunners's Henning Hernström did a great save. With his leg Henning Hernström managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Tallboda Gunners's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedé Paiva took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dedé Paiva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Henning Hernström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tallboda Gunners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dedé Paiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Ferreira Lopes MZC's players had a chance to rest. If Ronaldo Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Henning Hernström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wiktor Wallander kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Henning Hernström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henning Hernström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Henning Hernström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ronaldo Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferreira Lopes MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Hernström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Herald Depauw was substituted for Luka Beaugendre. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Erik Ahlbom stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henning Hernström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Alcântara went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Dário Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Hernström was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. 63 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Henning Hernström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lennart Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Montenegro having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Tomé Montenegro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Henning Hernström came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Dário Martins. But to his dismay, Dário Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Henning Hernström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Sidnei Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Martins in the 93rd minute of play forced Tallboda Gunners's goalkeeper Henning Hernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
