After some careless play in the Peralta defense, Ciarán McCollion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Uhin. The Peralta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Uhin should have stopped the shot. Eugenio Uhin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciarán McCollion went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Elazar in the 13th minute of play forced Knocktemple FC's goalkeeper Boyle McJohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciarán McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eugenio Uhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brazil McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eugenio Uhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dewain Tracy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brazil McPaul struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Eugenio Uhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knocktemple FC. Eugenio Uhin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciarán McCollion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Ciarán McCollion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knocktemple FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Boyle McJohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Brazil McPaul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes of play, Knocktemple FC's Brazil McPaul made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Uhin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute, Brazil McPaul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciarán McCollion was the one to do the kick off. Boyle McJohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Abechuco in the 52nd minute of play. If Ciarán McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Knocktemple FC's Ciarán McCollion dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Brazil McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Eugenio Uhin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Peralta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Loco to maneuver through the defense. Peralta's Eugenio Uhin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciarán McCollion in the 73rd minute of play. Eugenio Uhin came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Knocktemple FC's Ciarán McCollion. But to his dismay, Ciarán McCollion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Ciarán McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Peralta's zone, Brazil McPaul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Uhin came out of the goal and Brazil McPaul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Peralta's goalkeeper Eugenio Uhin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brazil McPaul. In the 88th match minute, Peralta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Tabor to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ciarán McCollion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knocktemple FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciarán McCollion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Uhin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Knocktemple FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
