Alberto Orsini's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Boyle McJohn firmly grabbed it by the left post. Boyle McJohn made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ettore Ramoser sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the match, Knocktemple FC's goalkeeper Boyle McJohn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ettore Ramoser. Tiki Taka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filippo Cinalli in the 25th minute. After taking down the ball on Tiki Taka's corner Filippo Cinalli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boyle McJohn quite easily take care of the ball. Boyle McJohn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Orsini in the 27th minute. After 28 minutes Knocktemple FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filippo Cinalli who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Tiki Taka's corner Filippo Cinalli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boyle McJohn quite easily take care of the ball. Ettore Ramoser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyle McJohn having to interfere. Boyle McJohn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ettore Ramoser in the 36th minute. Boyle McJohn made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Ettore Ramoser sent off a good shot on target. After 39 minutes, Alberto Orsini made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Knocktemple FC's Boyle McJohn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmondo Vinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciarán McCollion in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Ettore Ramoser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Camillo Mangione shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyle McJohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camillo Mangione spun around in front of the goal 61 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Knocktemple FC's goal. 62 minutes into the match, Knocktemple FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Ramoser came free, but Boyle McJohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filippo Cinalli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boyle McJohn having to make a save. Tiki Taka's Camillo Mangione got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Críostóir McWilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Vinci having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Knocktemple FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciarán McCollion to maneuver through the defense. Boyle McJohn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Odisio in the 89th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Ettore Ramoser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Knocktemple FC's Boyle McJohn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Alberto Orsini notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Knocktemple FC's Boyle McJohn. Boyle McJohn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
