After 16 minutes, Erhan Ülkenur made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Brezis's Frederico Thorbrügge tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Brezis booed when Fenerbahçe Beko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tugay Babürşah didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Paul Janssen in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Behzat Arslantürk saved Fenerbahçe Beko from getting behind. Erhan Ülkenur did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Frederico Thorbrügge 22 minutes into the match. Markus Paul Janssen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fenerbahçe Beko's Ali Behzat Arslantürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Paul Janssen in the 41st minute of play. Boris Binding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ali Behzat Arslantürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Muhsin Çelebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Thorbrügge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Fenerbahçe Beko's Ali Behzat Arslantürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Binding in the 55th minute of play. Muhsin Çelebi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Thorbrügge having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhsin Çelebi in the 70th minute of play forced Brezis's goalkeeper Frederico Thorbrügge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Muhsin Çelebi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Muhsin Çelebi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Frederico Thorbrügge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
