Tommy Haug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Varela in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Benjamin Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Haug. VFB ST.leon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in VFB ST.leon's zone, Geovani de Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Haug came out of the goal and Geovani de Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timo Atan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráusio Alcântara hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to VFB ST.leon getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Achmed Hammerschlag hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, André Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Haug was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Erwin Caesar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, André Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WoW FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Haug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Varela in the 47th minute of play. After the first half WoW FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erwin Caesar was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Atan in the 51st minute of play forced WoW FC's goalkeeper Mateus Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. VFB ST.leon's Erwin Caesar got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Timo Atan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Haug made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Paiva in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Paiva got free with Tommy Haug in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, WoW FC's Jonathan da Cunha got a free kick in the 66th minute. WoW FC's Elder Bastos was substituted for Jeferson Santana. 68 minutes into the match, VFB ST.leon's Claus Pellmann broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 71st minute Benjamin Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Haug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Timo Atan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 minutes, Erwin Caesar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VFB ST.leon and the WoW FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mateus Meirelles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erwin Caesar's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Elder Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Haug. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elder Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. Mateus Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Atan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th match minute, WoW FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute of the match, Benjamin Varela tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Haug saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cauã Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. WoW FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
