Torstein Stenseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Wielopolski in the 5th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Emil Wielopolski sped through Corinthians FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torstein Stenseth. In the 10th minute, Damaso Casomiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torstein Stenseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 13th minute Zhao Sen Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torstein Stenseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Zhao Sen Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torstein Stenseth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Zhao Sen Yang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Torstein Stenseth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stu Dunning kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Zhao Sen Yang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians FC's Torstein Stenseth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Len Woolford charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Len Woolford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Corinthians FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Len Woolford didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Zhao Sen Yang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torstein Stenseth. Corinthians FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhao Sen Yang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Torstein Stenseth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhao Sen Yang went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Corinthians FC defense, Zhao Sen Yang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torstein Stenseth. The Corinthians FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torstein Stenseth should have stopped the shot. Zhao Sen Yang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torstein Stenseth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torstein Stenseth saved Corinthians FC from getting behind. Zhao Sen Yang spun around in front of the goal 41 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Corinthians FC's goal. Damaso Casomiro's late challenge caught a Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Casomiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Corinthians FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Casomiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Zhao Sen Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torstein Stenseth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After the first half Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zhao Sen Yang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Torstein Stenseth didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. Zhao Sen Yang might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torstein Stenseth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zhao Sen Yang ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Len Woolford, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Len Woolford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Chiuzbaian having to interfere. Cătălin Tudoran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Torstein Stenseth made a huge save. A collision led to Corinthians FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Aristides Briso hit a great ball. A hard shot 79 in the game by Primitivo Grau from a close distance when the talented Torstein Stenseth managed to make a qualified save. Corinthians FC's players were relieved. In the 83rd minute, Teodoro Hondaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torstein Stenseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Tudoran in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Corinthians FC got a freekick which was hit by Roy Mortimer. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians FC's goalkeeper Torstein Stenseth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Corinthians FC's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Grau came free, but Torstein Stenseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Casomiro hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Cătălin Tudoran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Torstein Stenseth. Cătălin Tudoran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10.
