In the 3rd minute Cléberson Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Greaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Greaves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cléberson Mendonça went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Gibson in the 16th minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Mark Greaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Clapham Rovers's Mark Greaves threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Francisco Toscano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 18 minutes into the game, Luke Tyrell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heavenly Hooters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clapham Rovers the free kick. Luke Tyrell kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Heavenly Hooters's Luke Tyrell got a free kick in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Cléberson Mendonça could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Mark Greaves however easily saved by the left post. 26 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Clapham Rovers's Cléberson Mendonça fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a little luck, Heavenly Hooters's Mark Greaves got control of the ball when Cléberson Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Clapham Rovers's Cléberson Mendonça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ennio Orsini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Snowden, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Heavenly Hooters getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Glen Deeney hit a great ball. After 39 minutes, Robert Welch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clapham Rovers and the Heavenly Hooters players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute, Robert Welch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Heavenly Hooters's Mark Greaves got control of the ball when Cléberson Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Francisco Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brynn Mortimer to make the kick off. In the 61st match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavin Sedgemore to maneuver through the defense. Clapham Rovers's Donny Stockton managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luke Tyrell in the 72 minute of the game. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when Heavenly Hooters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piers Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Jools Holland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jools Holland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ennio Orsini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brynn Mortimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Clapham Rovers's Jools Holland in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 89th minute, Jools Holland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mark Greaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
