Alex Gibson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Ekrot having to interfere. Clapham Rovers were furious when Wayne Longden was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Clapham Rovers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Arixo in the 24th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Clapham Rovers's Nilmar Brasil got control of the ball when Abdi Revis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Mutumba kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Clapham Rovers's keeper Nilmar Brasil was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Vykans Vikingar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jose Indalecio in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Damien Quinn got a free kick in the 34th minute. Vykans Vikingar's Eric Van Lint shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nilmar Brasil but with some difficulty. 38 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Nilmar Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Trancoso. Nilmar Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdi Revis in the 40th minute. Leonardo Trancosos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Nilmar Brasil to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Clapham Rovers getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Damien Quinn hit a great ball. In the 43rd match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavin Sedgemore to maneuver through the defense. João Francisco Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Francisco Toscano to make the kick off. Nilmar Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Gavin Sedgemore got a free kick in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Trancoso came free, but Nilmar Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Trancoso in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilmar Brasil saved Clapham Rovers from getting behind. Clapham Rovers's Nilmar Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Hermansson in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vykans Vikingar defense, Justino Arixo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Ekrot. The Vykans Vikingar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Ekrot should have stopped the shot. The Vykans Vikingar fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Vykans Vikingar's Mats Hermansson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nilmar Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vykans Vikingar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clapham Rovers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
