The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Albertinho Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludomil Kajdasz was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Lino Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Cadart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charalambos Vokolos in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Albertinho Alagoano sped through Herblay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ludomil Kajdasz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertinho Alagoano in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ludomil Kajdasz saved Herblay from getting behind. Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Alagoano in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Herblay's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Flavio Valines fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Léon Monnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Alagoano in the 27th minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Ludomil Kajdasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexsandro Bueno in the 28th minute. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Alexsandro Bueno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ludomil Kajdasz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ludomil Kajdasz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Valines went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The nice shot from Albertinho Alagoano in the 40thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ludomil Kajdasz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Olivieri during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes -BZF- Petrolul Berca got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Olivieri. In the 45th minute Eusebiu Tunar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Kajdasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joël Willaume charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joël Willaume the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Alagoano in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Léon Monnet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ludomil Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Alagoano in the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Herblay's Norbert Cadart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lino Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Herblay's Ben Girouard was substituted for Billy Magnin. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Cosmin Iancu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Herblay made a substitution. Mustapha Monteillet replaced Antonin Dagorne. In the 83rd match minute, -BZF- Petrolul Berca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Iancu to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Mustapha Monteillet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herblay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 90 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Alagoano came free, but Ludomil Kajdasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
