Pauli Palander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xerxes Doro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Flavio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Cosor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes in the game Bonifacio Bembe did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nechifor Cosor. Karl-Michael Brask might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pauli Palander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Michael Brask ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Vlashers's Pauli Palander got control of the ball when Karl-Michael Brask tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Michael Brask hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd match minute, Vlashers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Levința to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vlashers's goalkeeper Pauli Palander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pauli Palander. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Blagoy Doro got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Michael Brask to make the kick off. Pauli Palander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Michael Brask in the 52nd minute of the match. Marius Levința had several of the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Flavio Peter as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nechifor Cosor got free with Flavio Peter in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vlashers's Pauli Palander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Brask in the 62nd minute of play. Vlashers's Ernest Mareș got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trayko Mendov. Vlashers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gigel Ghișerel in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute, Bonifacio Bembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Peter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Levința in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Bembe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlashers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batalionul U23 Dorobanti the free kick.
