In the 9th minute, Arnaud Konieczny made a precise shot to the right of Lucrețiu Roșeanu. Sporting Royal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Panciu in the 12th minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Ludomil Kajdasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Esteves was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sporting Royal! Antonin Dagorne shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Virgil Panciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ludomil Kajdasz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nae Moisil to maneuver through the defense. Lucrețiu Roșeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonin Dagorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Herblay's Antonin Dagorne in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Arnaud Konieczny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 48 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaud Konieczny came free, but Lucrețiu Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaud Konieczny to make the kick off. After 59 minutes, Antonin Dagorne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herblay and the Sporting Royal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Antonin Dagorne hit a great ball. Antonin Dagorne did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Lucrețiu Roșeanu 61 minutes into the match. Norbert Cadart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lucrețiu Roșeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Roșeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonin Dagorne. After 70 played minutes Sporting Royal got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Gherasescu. Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Predescu in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Royal booed when Herblay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joël Willaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Dudu to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Royal made a substitution. Bum-Kun Kun replaced Acácio Cunha. The supporters of Herblay booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Roșeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Predescu in the 96th minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Ludomil Kajdasz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Herblay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Royal.
