Osoitz Lombillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Everardo Alsua made a huge save. Todos al Fondo's Gianluigi Palet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mane Biembengén in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Todos al Fondo booed when Sporting Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frutos Junyent didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Xantalen Arriano from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Everardo Alsua's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Zunbeltz Bilbao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everardo Alsua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terciero Bodon in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Sporting Cristal's Everardo Alsua got control of the ball when Gora Mirabal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Terciero Bodon notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Sporting Cristal's Everardo Alsua. Everardo Alsua was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sporting Cristal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Izotz Asturiano scored to the left of an out of position Everardo Alsua, making the score, 4-0. A collision led to Sporting Cristal getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mane Biembengén hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Terciero Bodon came free, but Everardo Alsua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
