The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Rayman Moixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerazan Monje's late challenge caught a Atlético Grau Piura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerazan Monje helped the player get up and apologised. Kaiet Martiniana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 5th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Xorxe Ibero. After a defensive mix-up in Rapsodas Red Devils FC's zone, Rayman Moixi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaiet Martiniana came out of the goal and Rayman Moixi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuelo Sominaya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dominic Morquera having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Cresenciano Codony got a free kick in the 18th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Grau Piura's Cris Brunet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kaiet Martiniana. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Dominic Morquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Aviñante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Luciano Zayas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Grau Piura the free kick. The supporters of Atlético Grau Piura booed when Rapsodas Red Devils FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Zayas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Pintado kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Kaiet Martiniana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rayman Moixi in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Rayman Moixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rayman Moixi made a kick off. The supporters of Atlético Grau Piura booed when Rapsodas Red Devils FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Barbot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Pintado charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Atlético Grau Piura's Dominic Morquera got control of the ball when Israel Barbot tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Pacho Oton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Grau Piura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pacho Oton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominic Morquera made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Israel Barbot sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Atlético Grau Piura's Narciso Mattei got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Aviñante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dominic Morquera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Mattei charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Mattei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, Atlético Grau Piura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Mattei to maneuver through the defense. In the 68thth minute of the game Israel Barbot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Grau Piura's Dominic Morquera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atlético Grau Piura's Xorxe Ibero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rapsodas Red Devils FC. After 75 played minutes Rapsodas Red Devils FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerazan Monje. Rayman Moixi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaiet Martiniana having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Zayas in the 78th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Dominic Morquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominic Morquera was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Luciano Zayas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luciano Zayas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Arotza Ponte hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
