Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thiago Machado to make the kick off. Colombia's Antonio Indiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Artur Laguna in the 52 minute of the game. In the 53rd minute of the match, Santino Seco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alvaro Rudolfo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abram Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Rudolfo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Abram Secada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Rudolfo having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Alvaro Rudolfo in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abram Secada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alvaro Rudolfo came out and tried to block the shot, but Abram Secada slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 82nd minute. Coritiba Foot Ball Club made a substitution. Fausto Romero replaced Thiago Machado. Fausto Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Montenegro came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thor Machado in the 91st minute. The corner led Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thor Machado to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Colombia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Coritiba Foot Ball Club from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
