After a rather tough play, Yıldız Bakkaliyesi's Bo Brummer got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Yıldız Bakkaliyesi's Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute Jerome Rohrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Yıldız Bakkaliyesi's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Bo Brummer came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. In the 22nd minute, Bo Brummer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Bo Brummer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Yıldız Bakkaliyesi made a substitution. Segundo Stephen replaced Jerome Rohrer. Yıldız Bakkaliyesi made a substitution. Vilhelm Jonasson replaced Bo Brummer. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Vilhelm Jonasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Yıldız Bakkaliyesi's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vilhelm Jonasson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the game, Vilhelm Jonasson lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Julio Vera. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilhelm Jonasson to make the kick off. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Yıldız Bakkaliyesi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Yıldız Bakkaliyesi's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilhelm Jonasson in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 65th minute of the match Yıldız Bakkaliyesi got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vilhelm Jonasson ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Jonasson in the 66th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ecevit Hazarbeyoğlu having to interfere. Yıldız Bakkaliyesi made a substitution. Abayhan Erbaş replaced Vilhelm Jonasson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abayhan Erbaş in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abayhan Erbaş scored 4-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Yıldız Bakkaliyesi booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
