Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Bermudo went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgian Arrascaeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Joel Gaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Warren FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Bernardo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Bernardo Moreira was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giorgian Arrascaeta made a kick off. Bernardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Warren FC - DMZ's Bernardo Moreira got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Bermudo in the 56th minute of play. Bernardo Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Bernardo Moreira in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giorgian Arrascaeta's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgian Arrascaeta helped the player get up and apologised. Warren FC - DMZ made a substitution. Décio Secco replaced Fellipe Machado. After a rather tough play, Warren FC - DMZ's Giorgian Arrascaeta got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Warren FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Bernardo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. Lautaro Mancebo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 89th playminute. Bernardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, José Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Luca Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Luca Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Warren FC - DMZ booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Warren FC - DMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
