Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severo Laurentzi in the 4th minute. A collision led to West Ham getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Severo Laurentzi hit a great ball. Hayden Baker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by West Ham's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. In the 11th match minute, West Ham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.C. Smith to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Uruguay booed when West Ham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Poynton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.C. Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio Petruzzi during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes West Ham got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Petruzzi. Hayden Baker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 26th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hayden Baker was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severo Laurentzi in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Laurentzi in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 39th minute of play forced West Ham's goalkeeper Hayden Baker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Laurentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. In the 42nd minute of the match Bryan Elwick shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after West Ham's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. At last the ball reached Camilo Franco at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of West Ham. 0-1.

After a rather tough play, West Ham's Severo Laurentzi got a free kick in the 50th minute. Francisco Seco hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, West Ham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Petruzzi to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 59th minute really tested Hayden Baker's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 63 minutes into the match, West Ham's goalkeeper Hayden Baker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Baker having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, West Ham's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Hayden Baker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severo Laurentzi struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Ham. Hayden Baker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 78th minute. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Hayden Baker made a huge save. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after West Ham's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. The corner led Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Hayden Baker despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. J.C. Smith kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Francisco Seco scored 0-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hayden Baker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The West Ham fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
