Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Jim Kråk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BK Ugglan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 15th match minute, BK Ugglan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Kråk to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Sundberg in the 25th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Sundberg struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BK Ugglan. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Sundberg in the 38th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the BK Ugglan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. In the 42nd minute of the match, Henk Van Linthout got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Sundberg made a kick off. If Adam Christoffersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrik Fagrell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 55 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Kråk in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Dong Ting Fan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jim Kråk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Henric Granberg made in the 79th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Wiktor Anselius immediately put the ball in play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when BK Ugglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dong Ting Fan didn't get a good kick on the ball. BK Ugglan's Bror Bruhn was substituted for Dong Ting Fan. Thomas Sundberg took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. BK Ugglan made a substitution. Olov Skoglund replaced Emil Nordlander. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BK Ugglan.
