After a defensive mix-up in Emerald's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Lobonț came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Emerald's Ioan Logofătu was substituted for Julio Iglesias. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Piţurcă made a kick off. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bogdan Lobonț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Lobonț. Emerald's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bogdan Lobonț made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Victor Piţurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 89th minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona was extremely unlucky when he, in the 98th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
