In the 22nd match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Abraham Alguacil sped through Clapham Rovers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nilmar Brasil. Richard Thompson's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Thompson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Thompson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléberson Mendonça got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.

54 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Mendonça came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilmar Brasil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Alguacil went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Rodney Watkinson came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Clapham Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Nilmar Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clapham Rovers's Cléberson Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Panama players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
