Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cléberson Mendonça started the match with the kick off. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wayne Longden made in the 7th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by João Francisco Toscano. Nilmar Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wayne Longden made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cléberson Mendonça. Nilmar Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Clapham Rovers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. 26 minutes into the game, Cléberson Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Christian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nilmar Brasil was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 34th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Cléberson Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Justino Arixo got a free kick in the 39th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wayne Longden made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Justino Arixo immediately put the ball in play. In the 42nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cléberson Mendonça went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Nilmar Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes Clapham Rovers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Honduras's Christian Sancho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 55th minute João Francisco Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavin Sedgemore hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clapham Rovers's Nilmar Brasil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cléberson Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Honduras:s Lautaro Navarro showed great skill when he stopped João Francisco Toscano:s penalty. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Watkinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Rodney Watkinson got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cléberson Mendonça scored 3-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute Rodney Watkinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clapham Rovers's Nilmar Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd minute of play. If Cléberson Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Cléberson Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Espiga kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Clapham Rovers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
