In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Seaman came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lions FC's Loco Durazno. But to his dismay, Loco Durazno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Jenipapo SC from getting a goal against them. Bebben Johansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24thth minute of the game Loco Durazno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jenipapo SC's David Seaman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Björn Björkqvist got a free kick in the 35th minute. Marcelo Steven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. David Seaman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. Anders Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 43rd minute of the match. David Seaman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loco Durazno's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Loco Durazno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Seaman was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Golden Lions FC defense, Vinicio Junior kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. The Golden Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Cunha in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 54th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Börje Kämpe hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anders Lundqvist. Anders Lundqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Pompiliu Poalelungi got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Pompiliu Poalelungi hit a great ball. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Steven in the 67th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Aníbal Alagoano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Loco Durazno hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Browne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Burç Tokhan replaced Loco Durazno. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Dylan Browne got a free kick in the 75th minute. Burç Tokhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burç Tokhan in the 77th minute of play. When Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jenipapo SC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Cunha got free with Anders Lundqvist in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 82 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Arósio came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Maurício Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burç Tokhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Cosme Larpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Seaman came out of the goal and Cosme Larpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arcan Siralp to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Pompiliu Poalelungi got a free kick in the 90th minute. Burç Tokhan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Seaman having to make a save.
When the final whistle sounded Jenipapo SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Golden Lions FC.
