An unexpectedly hard shot by Macedonio Fonticoba in the 27th minute of play forced Janusze Futbolu's goalkeeper Peter-Michael Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Caniglia took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Chayo. Juan Chayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Vampiros Aztecas's Juan Chayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Jaktorowo in the 34th minute of play. When Janusze Futbolu's Claudio Caniglia in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Vampiros Aztecas booed when Janusze Futbolu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Jaktorowo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vampiros Aztecas's Benjamin Wood was substituted for Thomas Verheydt. A collision led to Janusze Futbolu getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Norbert Jaktorowo hit a great ball.

Claudio Caniglia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Chayo having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Janusze Futbolu's Juan Chayo threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudio Caniglia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Macedonio Fonticoba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Peter-Michael Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Töpper in the 57th minute of the match. Macedonio Fonticoba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Peter-Michael Schmeichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Chayo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Janusze Futbolu's Claudio Caniglia. But to his dismay, Claudio Caniglia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Macedonio Fonticoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Schmeichel having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Juan Chayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norbert Jaktorowo. Juan Chayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Caniglia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Macedonio Fonticoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vampiros Aztecas made a substitution. Rolf Weyand replaced Macedonio Fonticoba. Devlet Toper hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Claudio Caniglia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Caniglia got free with Juan Chayo in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
