Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Ataman Kutun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 21st minute of the match Trabzonspor got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivo Waard ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Trabzonspor's corner Ivo Waard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Cotilla quite easily take care of the ball. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 29th minute. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yunus Civan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alejo Otsando took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Yunus Civan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Alejo Otsando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Otsando to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Otsando in the 53rd minute of play. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Otsando's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Otsando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Trabzonspor's Raşit Timuroz was substituted for Alejo Otsando. After 73 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. In the 80th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yunus Civan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Raşit Timuroz came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthew Garrido's late challenge caught a Trabzonspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Garrido helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Panama's Matthew Garrido got a free kick in the 84th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raşit Timuroz in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Raşit Timuroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute Raşit Timuroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor's Raşit Timuroz. But to his dismay, Raşit Timuroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After 95 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Bedrettin Özaktuğ. Trabzonspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
