But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Del Materno Vengo getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gabriel Amaya hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but 袁渊斌 skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 22nd minute of play forced Del Materno Vengo's goalkeeper 袁渊斌 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 袁渊斌 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Macos Graciani with Joel Gaona as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Del Materno Vengo's Gabriel Amaya got a free kick in the 55th minute. 袁渊斌 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Del Materno Vengo's 袁渊斌 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 63rd minute of play. 袁渊斌 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Del Materno Vengo's Constantino Chesus. After some careless play in the Del Materno Vengo defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 袁渊斌. The Del Materno Vengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 袁渊斌 should have stopped the shot. Del Materno Vengo's Ambrosio Ritchie was substituted for Jorge Chayo. 85 minutes into the game, Xabi Alonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Del Materno Vengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Mexico made a substitution. Jonathan Atenas replaced Macos Graciani. Constantino Chesus hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Gabriel Amaya kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Del Materno Vengo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
