The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute of the game Valentín Carvallo made a throw-in which Sebastian Villa played forward. When Moises Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Magnus Björkqvist struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Onsala Ass Kickers. Rickard Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Walter Jönsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo suffered a concussion in the 24th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 24 minutes into the game, Walter Jönsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Onsala Ass Kickers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Honduras's Stefano Rouco was substituted for Valentín Carvallo. In the 26th minute, Walter Jönsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Björkqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Björkqvist came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Onsala Ass Kickers's Rickard Wiklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Jan Björnberg threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jan Björnberg made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Vincent Vallengren however managed to control. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Walter Jönsson sent off a good shot on target. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walter Jönsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Rickard Wiklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Rickard Wiklund threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Espiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Magnus Björkqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magnus Björkqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Stefano Rouco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Björkqvist in the 76th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Moises Tafalla fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 89th minute Magnus Björkqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
